FMC and Corteva have signed a licensing deal that will expand access to rimisoxafin across North and South American corn and soybean markets. FMC developed this dual mode of action weedkiller that targets resistant weed species, including Palmer amaranth and waterhemp. FMC will continue to own the technology, but will supply Corteva with the active ingredient. Both companies will develop and commercialize their own exclusive premix formulations for corn and soybeans. FMC will be able to develop other rimisoxafen-based products for other crops.
