The Canadian canola carryout will be tighter than expected. Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada forecasts the new crop carryout at 1.5 million tons. That’s half of what was projected a month ago. Canola production north of the border is estimated at 21.6 million tons, up slightly from last month, but short of last year’s record crop. Canadian new crop wheat ending stocks were unchanged at 5.5 million tons. Wheat production remained steady last month at 36.2 million tons, but down from nearly 40 million tons last year.
