The Senate has overwhelmingly approved a continuing resolution to keep the federal government funded through December 11th. The measure passed on a 90-to-6 vote and now heads to the House. North Dakota Senator Kevin Cramer says a continuing resolution isn’t the preferred option, but it avoids a government shutdown and gives lawmakers more time to complete full-year appropriations bills.
