During the South Dakota State FFA Day of Service, members packaged food to be distributed throughout the state. South Dakota FFA Foundation President Sandy Osterday said it’s become a tradition at the state convention. Meals of Hope brings all of the ingredients and equipment to package meals. “The students come as they can during the day when they have time, and our goal this year was 60,000 meals of macaroni and cheese.” Osterday said the students take pride in the experience. “Part of the FFA motto is living to serve, and it’s an opportunity for the students to do that.”
