Ross Garrison and Mark Torno from North Border Seed and Crop Consulting provided the crop tour update from Rolla, North Dakota. Pioneer P82288PCE was evaluated with the yield estimator. This corn was grown under pivot near Belcourt and is forecast to yield an impressive 223 bushels per acre. “We need time,” said Garrison, “We’re about 400 GDUs until we reach black layer.” Torno is enthusiastic about the soybeans. “There are a lot of pods; especially, the top pods are filling out nice at the back end of the year with the moisture.” White mold has been evident in the past ten days to two weeks the wet, cloudy conditions in August.
