Ag Groups Weigh in on One Big Beautiful Bill

Many of the mainstream farm groups issued statements of support for the Senate version of the so-called Big Beautiful Bill. The American Soybean Association praised the improvements in the farm safety net, increased support for research and revisions to the 45Z Clean Fuel Production Credit. The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association and National Pork Producers Council cited the tax provisions and foreign animal disease prevention programs. The National Farmers Union said the bill strengthens the farm safety net and extends key tax incentives but also cuts SNAP and Medicaid and adds loopholes to the farm program payment limits.
