Trade Deficit ‘Not Sustainable’

On his return trip from Mar-a-Lago, President Donald Trump said he doesn’t want to see markets go down, but sometimes medicine needs to be taken to fix a situation. Trump emphasized the current trade deficit with China is ‘not sustainable.’ The President also said he has heard from numerous trading partners since imposing reciprocal tariffs and they want to make a deal. Trump spoke with his counterpart from Vietnam on Friday and called those discussions “very productive.” Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins also announced she will soon lead a trade trip to Vietnam.
