High Court Asked to Review Roundup Case

Bayer is asking the U.S. Supreme Court to review a 2023 St. Louis court ruling that awarded a cancer patient $1.25 million in compensatory damages over the exposure to Roundup. Lower courts have issued conflicting decisions. In a statement, Bayer officials said glyphosate has been deemed safe by the EPA and other health regulators. A favorable Supreme Court ruling is seen as a way to limit the ongoing litigation.
