Riverview Dairy plans to build a 25,000-head dairy farm at Hillsboro and a 12,500-head dairy operation at Wahpeton. North Dakota Livestock Alliance Executive Director Amber Wood is pleased to see the growth in animal agriculture for the state. “North Dakota has never seen these kinds of opportunities before.” With the loss of dairy processing in the state, Wood hopes that the introduction of more dairies will lure dairy product processors as well.
