The Montana wheat harvest is just getting started. “We had predicted an abnormally late harvest this year and that was a couple of months ago because of the cool conditions that we had all the way through May and June,” said Lori Wickett, marketing and research director, Montana Wheat and Barley Committee. “That has completely flip-flopped really with this heat.” Wickett expects harvest to be in full swing at the end of July.
