The National Pork Producers Council released an economic contribution report which includes the significant impact America’s pig farmers have on the agricultural and general economy. The pork industry contributes over $62 billion annually and supports over half a million jobs in the U.S. More than 142,000 of those jobs are supported by pork exports which account for 25 percent of U.S. pork and over $8 billion.
