Anderson is apart of the Young Beef Leader Program. “The program gives young producers more experience in ag policy and getting them engaged in the process,” says Anderson. “It’s important for young ranchers to be involved in the industry.” Anderson says trade issues and policy implementation impact all cattle producers, regardless of age. “There is a lot of work to be done, and it is hard for a young person to pull their self away from the ranch. But, the best time to get engaged and be involved is at a young age; when you’re new to the industry.” Learn more in the interview.
