Sugarbeet tonnage is expected to be down in the region due to the hot, dry weather. However, USDA hasn’t made much adjustment yet. The Agriculture Department is forecasting Minnesota’s sugarbeet yield at 30.3 tons per acre and North Dakota at 29.2 tons per acre. An update on dry beans, canola and sunflowers will be made in the October report.
