In the state-by-state numbers, USDA dropped the average corn yield for Minnesota two bushels to 195 bushels per acre. North Dakota saw a huge dropoff, from 142 bushels per acre in August to 130 bushels per acre this month. South Dakota dropped six bushels per acre from last month to a 145 bushel per acre average. For soybeans, USDA bumped Minnesota’s average yield one bushel to 49 bushels per acre. North Dakota declined four bushels to an average of 30 bushels per acre and South Dakota gained a bushel—now with a 42 bushel average.
