The Senate has confirmed Kevin Warsh as the next chair of the Federal Reserve by a 54 to 45 vote. Warsh previously served as a Fed governor from 2006 to 2011. He was nominated by President Bush in 2006 as the youngest-ever Fed Governor, North Dakota Senator Kevin Cramer praised Warsh following the confirmation vote, calling him “the right man for the job.” Cramer said Warsh has the independence and leadership needed to guide the Federal Reserve while resisting political and financial pressure.
