Senate Agriculture Committee Chair John Boozman and Ranking Member Amy Klobuchar are scheduled to meet this week to discuss the farm bill. On the sidelines of this past week’s agriculture committee hearing, Boozman said the farm bill text will be released in June. The legislation will also be marked up next month. The Arkansas senator also spoke about the need for additional farm assistance. Agriculture Approptiations Subcommittee Chair John Hoeven indicated bridge assistance will likely be included in a supplemental spending package.
