Warmer and drier conditions continue to push harvest progress in northern North Dakota. Rock n’ Roll Agronomy owner and agronomist Jason Hanson says farmers are wrapping up dry edible bean, soybean and canola harvest. “There’s variability in what’s being harvested depending on the previous crop and where the rain fell.” A delay in the hard frost this year challenges harvest. “There’s some areas with green stemmed soybeans and people wanted a frost to deal with that.” A year ago, the first frost in the region came in early September.
