As fertilizer prices increase, Novozymes and Anuvia Plant Nutrients are partnering to develop a range of biotechnologies to reduce the need for synthetic fertilizers in crops. Anuvia Plant Nutrients Chief Commercial Officer Hugh MacGillivray says the companies will combine Anuvia’s bio-based plant nutrition with Novozymes’ microbial based technology. “Using the power of synthetic nutrition, combined with a series of technologies that will deliver nutrition and other mechanisms will create a level of efficiency we haven’t seen recently.” The goal is to use less fertilizer while getting as good or better crop performance at no additional cost to the farmer.
