The International Energy Agency is moving to release more than 20 million barrels of diesel from emergency reserves to ease tight global fuel supplies. The agency says its members have already released about 330 million barrels of oil since March, with another 100 million barrels still scheduled for release. The emergency action followed disruptions to energy shipments through the Strait of Hormuz. The agency says diesel supplies will be released as soon as possible, but no specific timeline has been announced.
