House Agriculture Committee Ranking Member Angie Craig has endorsed Ohio Representative Shontel Brown to succeed her as the committee’s lead Democrat in the next Congress. Craig is out of Congress at the end of the year after losing her bid for the Senate seat now held by Minnesota Senator Tina Smith. California Congressman Jim Costa has not announced his intentions, but is also expected to make a run for the leadership role on the ag committee.
