North Dakota Governor Kelly Armstrong and South Dakota Governor Larry Rhoden are responding to the high diesel fuel costs in their respective states. Armstrong’s executive order expands the use of red dyed diesel fuel for farmers and ranchers. This version of diesel fuel is taxed much less than other diesel. The executive order is in place through the end of November. In South Dakota, Rhoden is allowing farmers and ranchers to haul ag products at ten percent above weight restrictions and suspends a $25 overweight trip permit.
