According to Politico, White House officials may be reconsidering its controversial decision to import foreign lean beef trimmings. The Domestic Policy Council is reportedly looking for ways to partially roll back the imports ahead of the midterm elections. Farm-state lawmakers have criticized the import decision. The White House and U.S. Trade Representative’s Office are saying the Politico report is not accurate.
