Minnesota Farm Business Management instructor Betsy Jensen works with farmers growing crops beyond the traditional corn-soybean rotation and said that provides farmers with more options when making planting decisions. “All of my colleagues have corn and beans and beans and corn, corn and beans and beans and corn,” said Jensen. “Let’s be grateful of all the alternatives we have: sunflowers, canola, edible beans; we are in a very fortunate area that we have a lot of easy alternatives to plant.” Jensen participated in the Red River Farm Network Market Outlook Panel at the Big Iron Farm Show.
