Mark Huso of Huso Crop Consulting, Lakota, North Dakota, is feeling encouraged about the local soybeans. “I have some soybean fields I think will be pretty fair. Edible beans are going to be certainly below average. They just didn’t handle the drought at all.” Huso said the wheat and canola had a few bright spots, but yields were generally average to below average.
