The Bruce Freitag farm near Scranton, North Dakota, is now between harvest seasons while waiting for corn and sunflowers to mature. Despite heat and limited rainfall, Freitag said corn has handled the conditions relatively well. “The corn doesn’t look too bad. It’s going to be maybe a little below average, but actually it came through the dry conditions better than anticipated.”
