China is on track to meet its latest commitments to purchase U.S. agricultural products. USDA Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs Luke Lindberg says China is increasing purchases ahead of President Xi Jinping’s visit to Washington later this month. China has already met its commitment to purchase 12 million metric tons of U.S. soybeans from the 2025 season and is now on track to purchase 25 million metric tons this year. China has also pledged to purchase at least $17 billion in additional U.S. agricultural products each year for the next three years.
