Canada finished the 2025-26 marketing year with large carryover stocks of wheat, canola and pulse crops. Wheat stocks totaled 6.6 million metric tons, up from 4.2 million tons a year earlier. Canadian canola supplies at the end of July were just under 1.9 million metric tons, compared to 1.6 million the previous year. New records were established for pulse crops, with pea carryover up 142 percent from last year and lentils up 129 percent.
