Kristin Duncanson, who farms with her family at Highland Family Farms at Mapleton, Minnesota, said the crop remains in relatively good shape. “We’re pretty pleased and kind of holding our breath a little bit.” Duncanson is seeing early firing in some of the corn, but the beans look good. This farm received up to an inch of rain along with wind in the past week. “We’re out scouting today to make sure everything’s still standing upright.” Duncanson said harvest could start a day or two earlier than normal, depending on soil conditions.
