The elimination or reduction of the regulatory burden facing agriculture is welcome news for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association. However, the NCBA does not want the Trump Administration to weaken meat inspection and food safety standards. In a statement, NCBA said the U.S. has been the gold standard for food safety and ‘putting that at risk in pursuit of a short-term political solution would be a serious mistake.’
