Richardton, North Dakota farmer Jerry Messer says many crops are well below average following heat stress and poor pollination. While sunflowers might make it, Messer said they’re looking to salvage what they can out of the rest of their crops. “We got the late rain, so that might help the soybeans out. The hay crop was one-third of normal.”
