The harvest is running slightly behind the norm at Minto, North Dakota. Jan Altendorf, with Altendorf Harvesting, expects the local spring wheat harvest to begin between August 15th and 20th. “Every year is a little bit different, isn’t it?” While the combines haven’t hit most of the local fields yet, Altendorf is expecting a good crop. “It’s a nice wheat crop coming on and the corn is fantastic,” said Altendorf. “We’re waiting to see the field averages, but, right now, we’re expecting a large wheat crop.”
