Farmland values continue to hold firm despite lower commodity prices and tighter farm margins. “We haven’t seen enough sales through the summer to really show that anything’s changed, but land’s really held firm,” said Red River Land Company President Chris Griffin. Griffin said strong demand has kept the land market resilient, although prolonged weak farm profitability could eventually pressure land values and cash rents.
