A cargo ship carrying grain from Ukraine has sunk in the Black Sea after being hit by Russian missiles earlier this month. The Golden Leo went down near Odesa after sustaining heavy damage in the July 19 attack. Ten people were killed when the vessel was struck while departing through Ukraine’s maritime grain corridor. Ukrainian officials say the attack targeted a civilian vessel carrying agricultural cargo and warn it underscores the ongoing threat to Black Sea shipping and global grain trade. The incident follows another deadly Russian strike on a cargo ship in the Port of Odesa earlier this month.
