North Dakota corn, soybean and spring wheat conditions enjoyed a notable improvement in crop conditions this past week. Seventy-one percent of the corn, 57 percent of the soybeans and 65 percent of the spring wheat are in good to excellent shape. That’s up seven percent from last week for corn, up four percent for soybeans. And eight percent for spring wheat. USDA reports 65 percent of the canola is in good to excellent condition and 84 percent is blooming. Ninety percent of the sugarbeets are in good to excellent condition. Sixty percent of the dry edible beans share that same rating. Sixty-eight percent of the potatoes in North Dakota are blooming.
