Steve Olson is the new executive director of the International Poultry Science Association. For the past seven years, Olson has led his own agricultural strategy consulting firm. From 2000 to 2019, Olson was the executive director of the Minnesota Turkey Growers Association and the Midwest Poultry Federation. Dr. Don McIntyre, an adjunct professor at North Carolina State University, has been working in the executive director position on an interim basis since mid-December. Before that, former farm broadcaster and ag journalist Andy Vance was in the leadership role at the Poultry Science Association.
