In southeastern South Dakota, corn is in the vegetative stage and should be tasseling within a couple of weeks. “Coming into that quick growth stage for corn, we’re going to see potential challenges if the storms keep up with high winds,” said Mustang Seeds Field agronomist Brian Ternus. “There’s always that potential for green snap as we get into that stage of development if hit with strong winds at the wrong time.”
