The United States has declined to extend the trade pact with Mexico and Canada, kicking off a ten-year review process. Farmers for Free Trade Executive Director Brian Kuehl said the USMCA is critically important for U.S. agriculture. “Mexico’s our largest export destination for food and ag products. Canada’s our second largest export destination for food and ag products; $60 billion in U.S. food and ag exports to those two countries, so we’re not talking small numbers.”
