North Dakota Senator John Hoeven has announced a new initiative to link the North Dakota State University Agricultural Risk Policy Center and the National Rural Export Center. Hoeven said the partnership will strengthen export opportunities for farmers, ranchers and rural businesses. Speaking during an ag roundtable in Fargo, Hoeven said the effort will help rural businesses identify export markets, analyze opportunities and navigate logistics and payment systems. “It’s not just about finding those markets; it’s not just about figuring out how to actually move your product; it’s not just about figuring out how to get paid, but actually doing analysis to figure out where you can be successful,” said Hoeven. “The confluence together really puts you in a position to say I want to expand my market, where in this big, wide world should you go? Who answers that question for you? These guys. And they can do a lot better job together.”
