Renewable fuel demand and expanding crush capacity continue to support the canola market. Northern Canola Growers Association Executive Director Barry Coleman said EPA renewable volume obligations provided a major boost to the industry. Coleman said the growing demand for canola oil in renewable diesel production will require additional acreage. “A lot of that demand needs to come from the U.S.,” said Coleman. Private analysts are increasing crush projections for Canada while canola prices remain attractive for growers.
