The South Dakota State FFA Convention is underway in Brookings, with over 2,800 students and family members expected to attend. South Dakota FFA Foundation Executive Director Gerri Eide says students have plenty to be excited about for this year’s convention. “Our career carnival has 60 ag industry leaders for students to speak with: we have workshops put on by the industry throughout the convention, Farmers Union is doing a quiz bowl on ag safety, and so much more for students at this year’s convention.” The theme of this year’s convention is ‘Step Up.’ “We’re really hoping that this year’s convention will inspire students to step up and get involved and to try new things.”
