State Senator Rob Kupec, Moorhead, offered an amendment to the omnibus agriculture bill to expand access to E15. “This is a moment with the war going on in Iran, when the cost of imported oil is directly hitting Minnesota families,” said Kupec. “The average price for U.S. gas is now above $4 a gallon, about 30% higher than a year ago. Global oil markets are volatile, and having more E15 on the street is just about saving. It’s also about insulating Minnesota drivers from worldwide events.”
