Importers and exporters from around the world were in Mexico City for the U.S. Meat Export Federation Red Meat Symposium this past week. Towner, North Dakota rancher Jason Zahn represented the North Dakota Beef Commission at the event. After a stop at a local wet market, his delegation visited a high-end supermarket. The meatcase included product from the U.S., Japan, Canada and Argentina. “They had some Argentina beef there, cheaper, but you could definitely see the quality difference, too.” Listen to more in this edition of Cattle Country Conversations.
