North Dakota’s Grand Farm will serve as National Program Manager for USDA’s National Proving Grounds Network for Agtech. “This is that public sector- private sector partnership now that will drive the whole model,” said North Dakota Senator John Hoeven. “In addition to being the first test site, Grand Farm will manage the program for all the other proving grounds around the country.” USDA Undersecretary Scott Hutchins was part of the announcement. “We have pilot programs that we’re starting both here in North Dakota as well as their affiliate in Georgia this year, and then beyond that, we’re going to expand and multiply,” said Hutchins.
