Weed resistance remains a worry. Syngenta Agronomic Service Representative Aaron Froemke offers a quick rundown of some of the weeds to keep an eye out for this spring. “Starting off with grasses, you’ve got your green foxtail, and also wild oat. Those are the two main weeds that we’ve been having issues with over the last few years. For broadleaves and in eastern North Dakota, there’s waterhemp and other pigweed species. Kochia is the main broadleaf issue throughout much of the state.” Froemke says it’s important to use a herbicide with multiple modes of action. “That’s the key right there. Talinor can help with that and has really good burn down activity.”
