The Weed Science Society of America has honored more than 50 people for their weed science achievements in 2025. NDSU Extension Weed Specialist Joe Ikley earned the Excellence in Journalism Award for the War Against Weeds podcast. Sachin Dhanda, assistant professor of weed ecology, South Dakota State University, was presented the Outstanding Reviewer Award: Weed Science. Ryan Wersal, an associate professor at Minnesota State University, was named the outstanding associate editor award. Lizabeth Stahl of University of Minnesota Extension and WinField United Senior Research Manager Ryan Edwards received Distinguished Achievement honors.
