In this Agricult-HER episode, we hear from Sue Knott, an educational specialist with the Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom program, about the importance of agricultural education, especially for young people who may not have a background in farming. Knot discusses her journey in agriculture and the significance of agricultural literacy. “I do think that agricultural literacy is a really important element of having the knowledge to be a productive citizen and to be engaged in your community.” What advice would you give to a young woman coming into this business? “I think getting to know as many different people as possible is never a bad idea because you never know where that’s going to lead. I think that the opportunities are endless.” Watch the interview.
