The cattle sector is voicing its opposition to the Trump Administration’s decision to import Argentine beef. The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, R-CALF USA and U.S. Cattlemen’s Association all disagree with the argument that an increase in beef imports will lower consumer prices. An NCBA official has voiced concern about the risk of foreign animal disease. R-CALF and USCA stressed the need for country-of-origin labeling.
