Lamb and yearling slaughter numbers are up more than three percent from last year. However, lamb weights are down. A report from the American Lamb Board indicates the national lamb cutout rose eight percent since July and is at its highest level since September 2022. Prices for major cuts have increased, with racks up 13 percent; shoulders up 15 percent; six percent gains for the leg and ground lamb values up 17 percent.
