The planting season is just beginning in South America. “Soybeans are one-tenth of one percent planted,” said Soybean and Corn Advisor President Dr. Micheal Cordonnier. “The first crop of corn is all planted in southern Brazil. None of that is planted up in the central part of the country.” Planting progress is slower than normal, “but last year was slower, and look what happened, the rains picked up in October, November, and he ended up with record soybean and corn yields.”
