In many years, the combines have been rolling on soybeans during the Big Iron Farm Show. “This year, we’re three weeks away, maybe two weeks in some areas,” reports Jeff Hamre, Proseed. The weather during June is seen as one reason for the delay. During an update from Big Iron, Hamre touted Proseed’s role as an independent seed company. “We’re all local guys, our ownership is very local,” said Hamre. “We know our customers and the land that they’re on, we don’t raise beans and corn for 250 miles away from us, we grow it for our neighbors and our neighborhood.”
